A bust of a night
So, last night I was hoping to stop by Sea Level Records on the way home from work to catch an instore from Mark Kozelek, only to find out that he wasn't showing. Then, I knew that Birdmonster was playing at Silverlake Lounge for free, so as I looking for parking, I called Silverlake Lounge. "Birdmonster cancelled on us."
This was on their website:

For reasons unbeknownst to birdmonster, we're scheduled to play in LA tonight. This, sadly, is impossible, because I'm writing this at 3 pm in San Francisco. Unless you have a souped-up Delorean. If you do, please email us.
Apologies for any confusion this cause or any plans this soured. We'll be there again soon, however.
I went on home and watched 24. Things could be worse.
Thier new album is out today and you can buy it on their website. Until then, listen to these tracks and wait until May 12th when they play the Knitting Factory.
MP3: Resurrection Song - Birdmonster
MP3: Ice Age - Birdmonster
Damn, that sucks. I actually was gonna' go to that show but decided to write instead and lamented the fact that it would inevitably be killer and I prolly should've just gone. I caught them at the Echo last month and they killed it. Do you have the new album? And if so Is it good? I definitely have to pick it up.
