Alright, so I know we're supposed to be taking an "end of the year" hiatus, but there's some really big news going on and we can't sit on the sidelines for much longer.
Two big events have happened in the past week that threaten to change the world as we know it. Here's the problem. In the past 6+ years, we've learned above all to trust our president. He has told us that being president is "a really hard job" and "[he's] the decider, and [he] decide[s] what is best." Accordingly, we've sat still trusting that he's got it all under control.
At the same time, NBA Commissioner, David Stern, has been ruling the NBA with Castro-like dedication. He told players to pull up their shorts, and they did. He told players to get better threads, and they did. He told players to stop carrying guys, and they considered. Finally, he told players to get used to a new basketball, and they hurt their fingers.
So why has the world turned upside down? Well, W is now changing course on the War and actually admitting, in his own way, that he might have been wrong. And even more distressing, Sternie is going back on his word that the new basketball is in everyone's best interest, announcing, that the "old" ball will again be back in play starting Jan 1.
So, if you see a pack of pigs above you, don't be alarmed.
