While there are many places you don't want to eat at, The Colony Cafe is my new favorite restaurant. Seriously, this place is great, and you should all eat here at least three times a week...we can't let it go away.
The Colony Cafe is located at 10937 W Pico Blvd. It's reminiscent of a New England summer beach diner with great outdoor seating. And the food is amazing. You can choose from delicious burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and salads. I highly recommend the Cobb salad made with freshly grilled chicken and thick, crispy bacon. Dan is a huge fan of the B.T.L.A. Burger. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
But wait, there's more. Attached to the Cafe is Papa's Porch. Run by the same management, Papa's Porch is a coffee/ice cream shop. Local sorority girls will be happy to know they use only fat-free soft serve.
Four stars.
The mixed salad was oily and overpriced.

Excellent Veggie burgers. I loved the chopped salad. My boyfriend had a Tuna Melt and fries which he loved. We will definetly be back!

If I were a betting man, I'd say that Patty was the owner.
Patty, am I right? If so, a couple questions:
1. Why did you initially design the location as two separate places?
2. It seems like you have retreated from that strategy since removing the big papa's porch sign from the exterior and also by finally opening the interior wall between the two. (ok, that's not really a question)
3. Most importantly, why don't you serve dinner anymore? With the landmark opening this weekend, and the Bossa Nova opening a few weeks ago, seems like you could be poised for some great dinner crowds. Will you reconsider?
4. Surprisingly, a large number of people who search out colony cafe on google come to our site and read this post. if you'd like to do any partnerships, promotions, or contests in the future, please let us know: [email protected]

will be happy to be proved wrong with this one.... but having done survival training during my Army days, I have to admit to a raised eyebrow with this as well.
