Looking Towards 2007

Its been a rough couple of weeks here at Floating Away HQ.  As you clearly have noticed, we haven't been posting as much.  Our lack of posting is due to many reasons (personal losses, larger work and time commitments, large firewalls, etc.). 

I am not going to lie, I have enjoyed the lack of posting.  Recently, I have enjoyed going to concerts as a passive participant.  I know I want to continue Floating Away, but I am not sure exactly how much time I can really commit to it in the future.  I know I don't want it to become a burden, and recently that's what I felt it has become.  I have met some great people and seen some great shows because of Floating Away, but I am going to continue to take the rest of December off.  We will back in 2007.

Yeah, I feel you on this one, its basically become my full time unpaid job...so if anyone can empathize I can...btw are you going to the annuals show on wednesday? I shall be there.I'm curious to see those dudes.

Dear Floating Away,

Glad to read that you are taking a break; you will be energized & refreshed when you come back in January.

Just want you to know that for the past 2 days I have been walking and singing to "The Rising" Springsteen (2002). A brilliant album where he can bring you up and break your heart in an hour.

So with that in mind, I will put Van Morrison & Dylan down and begin memorizing all the words to all of his albums.
